Preserving the Architectural Heritage of Kings County

Kings County Archives specializes in the meticulous digital restoration of 19th-century architectural survey maps. We do not sell standard, unedited public domain reproductions.

Each piece in our collection represents hundreds of hours of manual digital cleanup. We surgically strip away centuries of water damage, paper tears, and visual clutter to reveal the crisp, original cartography beneath. The result is a "Cleaned Archival" aesthetic—preserving the rich, muted tones of the original inks while presenting the data with razor-sharp modern clarity.

Printed on heavyweight 100% Cotton Rag hot press paper and framed in handcrafted, solid oak, our museum-quality pieces are engineered for modern luxury builds, historic brownstones, and elite collections.

Digitally restored in Brooklyn, New York. Crafted in the U.S.

The Anatomy of the City.

It started with an obsession with the architectural bones of New York. When you spend your time exploring and documenting the streets of Brooklyn through a lens, you quickly realize that every brownstone, industrial alley, and waterfront has a deeply layered history.

But when looking for high-end, historical cartography to display in my own space, the market was severely lacking. Everything available was either a low-resolution, heavily yellowed poster or a cheap digital print that compromised the integrity of the original artwork.

I founded Kings County Archives to bridge the gap between historical preservation and premium interior design. Drawing on my background in visual media, I began sourcing original 1880s survey plates and putting them through a rigorous, pixel-by-pixel digital restoration process. The goal wasn't just to "save" the maps, but to elevate them into stark, authoritative gallery pieces that command a room.

Operating right here out of Brooklyn, Kings County Archives is dedicated to giving the history of this city the gallery-grade presentation it deserves.
